About Us

Beacons Family FUNdation Society offers a friendly paw to children and families in need in the Central Okanagan. Through art, play and outdoor exploration, we empower kids to find their full potential with creativity and discovery. We give kids a safe place to express themselves amongst others with no judgment. Our services and activities provide fuel for their tummies, hearts and minds, freeing them from hunger and worry so they can focus on having fun and family time.

Fuel Tummies

Children are unable to properly focus when a tummy is gurgling so we help fill them with nutritious meals.

Fuel the Mind

When the tummy is hungry it is hard to focus so fuelling the tummy helps fuel the mind.
The arts also help with fuelling the mind and expression.

Fuel Family Togetherness

Families that play, learn and read together, grow together building bonds and mental wellness.

Beacon the Beaver is our mascot...

Beacons favourite tv series is Leave it to Beaver and favourite snack is bark.

You may find Beacon at local community events along with his pal EB. He loves dressing up and representing his community with pride and is excited for Westside Days parade and their theme of West Kelowna Strong.
